Welcome back to a new blog of healthy life. In the past I have talked to you about the different sports I have practiced during my life and that I enjoy performing. All of them might have different challenges and some people could prefer a particular sport over others, but all of them have something positive in common and that is exercise.

Exercise must be a part of everyone’s life. This thought is as old as human beings are, and that is because we actually need it to become the best fiscal version of ourselves.

For those followers that would like to know further benefits of exercise on their bodies I recommend you to continue reading this blog.

In this occasion Im going to cover up 6 main benefits of doing exercise:
- Help you control your weight
- Reduces the risk of heart attack and other diseases
- Strengthen your bones and muscles
- Improves sexual health
- Improves sleep
- Improves your mental health and mood
1. Weight control
Exercise is helpful for weight loss and maintaining weight loss. Exercise can increase metabolism, or how many calories you burn in a day. It can also help you maintain and increase lean body mass, which also helps increase number of calories you burn each day.
The burning of calories through physical activity, combined with reducing the number of calories you eat, creates a “calorie deficit” that results in weight loss.
Most weight loss occurs because of decreased caloric intake. However, evidence shows the only way to maintain weight loss is to be engaged in regular physical activity.

2. Cardiovascular benefits
Reduce high blood pressure.
Reduce risk for type 2 diabetes, heart attack, stroke, and several forms of cancer.
Reduce arthritis pain and associated disability.
The reason why all these changes take place is because when you exercise you pump blood all over your system causing increased blood flow and increased resistance to your veins carrying that blood. During exercise, increases in cardiac stroke volume and heart rate raise cardiac output, which affected by a increase in systemic vascular resistance, elevate mean arterial blood pressure
The repetition of this routine causes your cardiovascular system to get used to the activity and respond better over time.

3. Strenghten your bones and muscles
Like muscle, bone is living tissue that responds to exercise by becoming stronger. For most people, bone mass peaks during the third decade of life. After that time, we can begin to lose bone. It is important for people to exercise regularly to avoid bone loss.
When you exercise regularly, your bone adapts by building more bone and becoming denser. This improvement in bone requires good nutrition, including adequate calcium and Vitamin D.
The effects of exercise on muscles varies with the type and duration of the activity.Aerobic exercise is typical of activities requiring endurance and sustained muscle contractions.
Muscle soreness, once thought to be due to lactic acid accumulation, has more recently been attributed to small tearing of the muscles fibers caused by eccentric contraction.
The consequences of exercicing your muscles are increased strenght, power and endurance.

4. Improves sexual health
Sexual health improvement is a consecuence of other benefits mentiones in this blog. Endurance and resistance are both influenced by the way your blood flows in your system and also by the muscular and nervous capacities developed during exercise routines.
A University of California study found that for men, regular exercise significantly enhanced “frequency of various intimate activities, the reliability of adequate functioning during sex, [and] percentage of satisfying orgasms.”
According to research by the University of Texas, exercise increases “physiological sexual arousal in women.”
All of these perks are unlocked thanks to the fisical and mental achievements of routinary exercise.

6. Mental health and mood
Exercise is not just about aerobic capacity and muscle size. Sure, exercise can improve your physical health and your physique, trim your waistline, improve your sex life, and even add years to your life. But that’s not what motivates most people to stay active.
Regular exercise can have a profoundly positive impact on depression, anxiety, and ADHD. It also relieves stress, improves memory, helps you sleep better, and boosts your overall mood. And you don’t have to be a fitness fanatic to reap the benefits. Research indicates that modest amounts of exercise can make a real difference.
It doesn't matter how old you are or where are you from, exercise will always be good for anyone that performs it regularly. Remember that life can not be considered complete if you don't add exercise into your habits.
